In 1519, Aztec Emperor Moctezuma of Mexico proclaimed chocolate as the “Nectar of the Gods.” It is believed that he served hot chocolate in “a cup-shaped vessel of pure gold”.
El Popular Chocolate was the first product Vicente F. Garza manufactured and sold in 1927. For the last 90 years, El Popular Chocolate has been responsible for providing the Mexican community with an all-natural, preservative-free, authentic hot chocolate drink. Our special recipe is created with a blend of rich dark cocoa beans, almonds, sugar, and cinnamon.
