Ingredients

  • El Popular Chocolate (melted)
  • Flour
  • Baking soda
  • Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Evaporated milk
  • Cocoa powder
  • Sugar
  • Oil
  • Egg whites
  • Vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 12 muffin cups with cupcake liners.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt El Popular table chocolate and evaporated milk over medium heat until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  • Stir in cocoa, sugar, oil, egg whites, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined (do not overmix).
  • Spoon batter evenly into cupcake liners.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
